Don't want to beat a dead horse (no pun intended) but some of these tweets are pretty good (especially the first one). Besides, we're not going to have anymore killer articles, tweets, or shitty little glasses to talk about anymore. One more couldn't hurt.

Moments after news of Tom Kowalski's death broke, his colleagues took to Twitter, the popular microblogging social network, to share their thoughts.

There was such an outpouring of memories that Kowalski's name trended not just locally in the Detroit market, but nationally and worldwide.

Here's what some of those who knew Kowalski best were saying.

I turned on 1130AM on my ride home today and listened to everybody calling in and talking about what a great guy Killer was. They had players, fans, his co-hosts, former colleagues, current radio guys from other stations, etc. telling different stories about him and the impact he had on their careers and lives. For as much as we all mocked his insider info at times, he's definitely gonna be missed.

I was honestly stunned when I saw the story. It's a damn shame to see anybody die so young and so suddenly.

agreed. we all joked about the guy, but this is sad.
