This is a guy I would have liked to have seen.

I think only Tiggs95 Danny is old enough to have seen him pitch.

Uncle Jumbo and dad used to say his nickname "Fire" Trucks was fitting.
Had one of the very best fastballs of that era, Bob Feller of course, and Allie Reynolds.
 
When I was growing up, I heard all sorts of stories from the 30s-50s. Unfortunately, many people old enough to remember are gone to provide the first hand accounts.
