"Turner was expected to open the season in Miami's rotation, but a rocky spring has relegated him to opening the season in Triple-A New Orleans after he was optioned last week. His Grapefruit League ERA was 9.69 with nine walks and five strikeouts in 13 innings."

Basically a whole host of Tigers we traded or let go, only Mr. March Ryan Raburn did anything this spring.

Its spring, with regards to Raburn. Turner has been unimpressive with his times, albeit short, at the ML level.

My point in posting this is that say what you want about DD, but he rarley gives up much in a trade. He's a master of selling marginal prospects and players as worthy of being swapped for proven MLB players.

Its worth noting that most of us knew he gave up garbage.
