Fri 9/2 7:05PM ET Verlander (20-5) v Danks (6-9)
Sat 9/3 4:10PM ET Penny (9-10) v Floyd (12-10)
Sun 9/4 8PM ET ESPN!!! Scherzer (13-8) v Buehrle (11-6)

NO reason they shouldn't be able to take 2 out of 3. With the distraction of win no. 20 out of the way Verlander will be re-focused on just pitching. Penny who know what the heck you're going to get out of him lately. Scherzer's last start I'm going to chalk up to a guy simply not having it on a given day. He was leaving everything up. He's been good lately for the most part and REALLY good against the Sox this year (only a 1.64 ERA against them.) THIS is the stretch where we put the Sux and Injuns squarely in the rear view mirror. No repeat of '06 and '09 this time.

Wish they'd skip Penny, move Scherzer to Saturday and pitch Fister on Sunday.

then the Indians...may as well use Penny. He had two good outings before the last one. Truth is, only JV and Fister have been reliable this season.

Honestly, I think Penny has a better chance of winning than Scherzer.

If only because Buehrle always owns the shit out of us.
