One of the characters is a Pistons fan in the show, but the show is made in LA, so I'm guessing the attention to background indicates there's a Wolverine involved. They're forced to go to a sports bar to watch a Pistons games and there's a Lions helmet and 2 Block M's (one says "Go Blue" the other is the 80-90's M with Michigan across it) on the shelf behind them in "Mo City Sports".
