USC scored a TD as time expired off of a game-tying FG attempt with allowed them to cover the 8.5 point spread. Officials ruled it no TD because USC players were on the field during the run-back.
So Vegas pays out the dogs. At least they pay out the ones who were in Vegas at the sportbooks.
Two hours later PAC-10 officials conclude that the players had no affect on the play, and award USC the extra 6-points, thus covering the spread.
Now Vegas is obligated to pay out anyone who bet on USC, and they have no way of collecting on those who they already paid.
