I feel like if George Lucas had stopped making Star Wars after the trilogy, and not merchandised the shit out of it, it would be worth of the #1 spot.

I don't know if Pirates of the Caribbean or Lord of the Rings are sci-fi.

Star Trek is probably the #1 all time, and most influential
