Fairley in walking boot.

Please be just a precaution. Our potential this year is the highest it has been since Barry was in uniform, I would hate for injuries to hold us back.

yeah i don't think it's time to freak out. But we still have corey williams and SLH and they both did a great job last year. Corey had his issues with jumping the gun, but other than that he played well.

I agree on not freaking out due to great depth at DT, but just gotta hope it's not a stress fracture, like they're not reporting it could be on ESPN (which could also be just another case of overblowing a situation)

if fairley fails or if he doesn't play the full season, you're going to hear people like me throwing the pick around. Think about this team if we had drafted Amukamara now. He'd be the starter with Houston. Wright, Smith, and Berry would be the next three. Add that to having Tulloch and Durant and we'd have a crazy D. But, as I've said, I love the potential of fairley and hope that I don't have to do that.

According to espn, the lions are "highly concerned". If they are, so am I..

Iheard something about a possible stress? Not sure how worried we should get.

A stress fracture would put him out until about week 5, since it typically takes 4-5 weeks to heal. Then figure they have no need to rush him back by season's start..

all good. we won't lose anything on our d-line from last year. It'll be the same pass rush with improved LBs and secondary (Talk out of TC is Spievey looks better...and smarter but it's still only practice)

In the video from practice today it didn't look like he had any limp at all, you would think if it was bothering him that bad he would at least have a limp, even with the boot on.

This is not good. He is being sent to see a specialist in Nashville. Just when we start getting this team where its gonna compete we get injuries to key players. ARGH!!!!!!!!!!!

Looks like 3-4 weeks they say. Not too bad. Better now than later.

had visions of kevin jones when they speculated that it could be alisfranc injury on twitter

I was never sold on the Fairley pick, I thought you guys shoulda worked on your DBs.
