50 Shades of Gray

The media hype machine for this movie's forthcoming debut is now in overdrive, and it reminds me of some older flicks that had a similar degree of anticipation by females and some men who could be considered to be prudes otherwise, and wouldn't want to be caught viewing "real" porn online. I Am Curious (Yellow) The Green Door, Midnight Cowboy, Deep Throat, The Devil In Miss Jones, All You Wanted To Know About Sex...ect...amongst others were pornos and/or were X-rated that got critical acclaim and/or were box-office bonanzas.

This movie was adapted from a book series and apparently includes bondage with a sprinkle of S&M. To me it appears that the only difference between it and any generic heretosexual porn film is that it has a so-called "plot" and the couple are supposedly or become "in love".which makes it okay for the ladies and gentlemen of our society to enjoy and fantasize about.

Would be kinda funny if they tacked a "Disney" ending on every skin flick & automatically got an "R" rating.

Before the credits role, they could show a title card that said something like "Danny Diggler and Dr. Candy O'Toole got married after his "exam," had 3 wonderful children and lived happily ever after in Ocala, FL."

Before the opening credits?

I don't know; I think that might kinda ruin it for me...
