The pattern favors Zeeland West, which won state titles in 2011 and 2013, entering the state final with an undefeated record. Zeeland West had no problem reaching the final, beating Grand Rapids Forest Hills Eastern, 46-8, after taking a 30-0 halftime lead. Flint Powers has won eight straight since losing to Midland Dow, including a 21-14 semifinal win over Detroit Country Day. Powers, which won a Division 5 state title in 2011, has never played Zeeland West.
I will take ZW by 13+ ( I should have stuck with my 20+ but I though FP could keep it closer..LOL)
FP stops ZW on downs at their 3. ZW stops FP on fourth and one at ZW 20 and get the ball back.
ZW scores 8-0. They always go for two.. End of one..
Zw nice design on a fake punt on 4th and 8..ZW deep in FP territory. TD a few plays later.
score is 16-0 now.. FP needs a answer with 4:03 left in second..
ZW 16-0 at half..
Flint powers comes out and scores to make it 16-6.. Fast whistle on the 2 point conversion should have
counted.. Textbook ZW drive.. Bunch of plays and 6+ minutes chews up.. 2 point conversion good.
24-6 now.. That is that 32-6 ZW.. 10:36 left. No quit in FP.. 32-14 now.. 40-14 now..
