Detroit M. Luther King 40 Lowell 38 D-2 Final

Muskegon got screwed on this draw. TC Central barely beat Whitehall. I'll guarantee Muskegon will put a running clock on them in that game no matter where it's played though.

Yeah probably but then they have to face Mona Shores.. They have to go to Traverse City.. Only way they get a home game in the districts is if FHN upsets Mona Shores and we know how bad Mona shores is going to crush FHN..

Byron Center catches a break when Zeeland west falls into D4 but sadly we are probably the last teams in D2.. We Miss Lowell but get another tough school in Portage Central with the winner probably getting Lowell.

TC always gets screwed with the long bus rides!! Come up to TC - we beat Muskegon in '85 at home in playoffs.

We couldn't beat either of those teams.. Wait a second .. TC gets the Big reds at home first....Maybe FHN will upset Mona shores and TC will beat the Big Reds and bam you get a district final at home!!!

Sadly it will be

Mona shores 44 FHN 13.
and
Muskegon 36 TC 9..

Those are my predictions..

Lowell (12-1) vs. Detroit Martin Luther King (13-0)
Lowell points for/against 564/180.
DMLK points for/against 418/134.

Both teams have strong playoff histories, with Lowell claiming a Division 2 title in 2009, finishing second in 2010 and 2011. The Red Arrows had one loss, coming in the season-opener against Walled Lake Western. Lowell gained a measure of revenge, beating Walled Lake Western in the semifinals, 49-34. Detroit King makes its first state final appearance since winning the 2007 Division 2 state title. King earned the trip to the state final with a 40-6 win over Livonia Franklin in the semifinals. The teams have never faced each other.

This is a tough one.. I will take Lowell by 3..

Lowell up 24-13 at halftime in a game dominated by big plays. Biggest probably was the 3rd and 20 pass play by King on a Flanker screen. Play goes almost all the way to the 3 and they score a few plays later. It was 17-0 before that completion. 31-20 after three with King driving.. All the Momentum is with King right now as their size and speed are taking over. King completed a 4th and 12 inside the 20 for a TD in the third to keep it close and change the complexion of the game. King scores on the first play in the 4th to cut the lead to 31-26. Lowell's offense responds with a nice drive and scores 38-26.. I mean King has only stopped The Red Arrow's offense once today on defense. King drives and scores again with 4 minutes left.. 38-34 now. Lowell has to punt with .45 seconds left. King has ball at its own 5yard line with .38 seconds left.
King at Lowell 40 with 10 seconds left..Hail Mary coming.

Kings wins on a hail Mary..

The idiot Lowell coach deserves this for letting King's best WR being covered by only 1 guy..
Dumb-shit-ness at its best..LOL

Kings hailmary.. Please This coverage is just crap. Scroll down and you will see the alignment.
Wow the catch just made ESPN... Man to man coverage on a hail Mary when you have 3 timeouts\
to see the formation to change your coverage.. I mean it is not like Lowell stopped King at all from
when they were up 17-0 early in the game.. Again just horrible coverage call by the coaches of
Lowell... That DB had no safety help verses a much better player then he was..

Really. Ron Rubick Just said in the OLSM verses Chelsea game about the King Hail Mary that lowell should have had a saftey over the top on one of the States best receiver.. Yup I agree..
