Fister is the first Tigers' pitcher to go 7 innings without a walk or strikeout since 2006 (Verlander).
 
I'd be concerned about the lack of strikeouts if it wasn't for his year last year. If it was going to come back to bite him, it would have already.
 
I don't mind it. Just posted because I thought an interesting stat. He's a contact pitcher, lot of ground balls tonight. That's fine by me. Only 99 pitches through 7.
 
yeah i know and Comerica will definitely help him out. He may not be an Ace, but he's a definite #2. Max and Porcello seem like #3 guys in the rotation. Penny....he's the weakness, but he does manage to surprise at times with a good outing.
