GVSU 12-2 at Shepard 12-0 in on semifinal.

Other semifinal
West Georgia 12-1 at N'west MO State 13-0.



Three of the teams were all number ones in their respective regions but GVSU was a Number
6 in their region and only made the playoffs because D2 increased the number of playoff teams by one in each region this season.
GVSU avenged both of its regular season losses to Ashland and Ferris St in the playoffs. (FSU crushed GVSU in week two 61-27).
GVSU has won three playoff games in a row on the road..

Division one will be at 8 teams within 5-10 years or sooner in my opinion.

Seems that way as they did win it in 2013. But that run you are taking about started from 2005 to 2009 where they went 1-4 in title games. Including four losses in a row before winning it in 2009 over GVSU.. GVSU beat them in 2005 and 2006. They are tied with GVSU with the second most titles at 4.. Just seems like yesterday GVSU was winning back to back title games in 2005-06..

I always forget the CMU was a DII school and won it back in 1974

GVSU losses 34-32 in a wild game.. Had a shot to tie it up twice on a 2 pt conversion but whiffed.. GVSU's red zone offense was awful all game.. The OC for GVSu was not very good today. Plus Shepherds back-up QB had to play all game and torched GVSU...
