Basically 50 is average. So QBs above and below that mark were obviously considered above and below average for that season. Around 65 and above was considered Pro Bowl caliber.

Seems pretty cool to me. Sounds a lot better than Passer Rating. If you haven't already heard they have a special explaining it @ 8PM EST.

They did an average QBR for the past 3 seasons and Manning came out on top.

Here's the Top 5:


2008-2010
QBR Average

1. Manning 77.2

2. Brady 69.5

3. Brees 68.3

4. Rivers 68.2

5. Rodgers 67.3

They also did a separate comparison including Brady's 07 with his 09 and 10 to give him a true 3 year average vs. Manning. Manning still came out on top 77.2 to 75.7.

Lol. I'm sure he'd fare pretty badly. Sanchez has similar numbers as him and he rated out a 47 QBR last season and a 32 in 09. He'd probably have around a 40-45 QBR career average.
