I've always thought the phrase, "So hurry in and start saving today" is one of the most asinine phrases when used in retailer's advertising, intimating that because they're having a Sale, you're saving money by .....spending money, not just as much money as they wanted you to at another price.

Today, on the radio, I hear an ad for some magic diet pill that says, "We all know that with today's hectic lifestyle it's hard to eat healthy, so we've got this pill ...."

So apparently, because of this hectic lifestyle we all lead, you must not grab an apple or banana for a snack, but instead wolf down a BigMac and then take a diet pill?

::)

I've alway had a problem with people saying they built something from the ground up. Like there's another way to build something. Who the hell would build something from the top down? That sounds dumb to me.

I always hated "it taste like butter". Well I hate butter, why would I want to buy that?

:)

I hate things advertized as "homestyle".

Gravy, Bread, Frozen foods in ready to heat cartons (Lasagne, Meatloaf, Swedish Meatballs), Ice-cream, Cookies and Cakes, etc.

Seriously, do they think any of that shit even comes close to homestyle?

if they use America, religion, Jesus, traditional family values, or anything like that to sell their products, I'm not buying.

I only buy foreign things sold by Atheists living in non-traditional communes.

I hate car commercials where a truck is pushing another car up a sand dune, or just staright up climbing boulders on a mountain.
