I always wonder, when stuff like this happens, if it would of happened no matter where he was drafted.
If he was on another team he would of been running a different drill at a different time and would avoided this injury.

Although it will be a little sad that Slick won't be banned every other month and has to come up with a new name, it was always fun seeing the new names.

Hmmm...I may have had the same type stress fracture in apparently the same area (fifth metatarsal) of my left foot 6 years ago, after years of performing physically demanding work, and being on my feet all the time, then one one night the pain became almost unbearable, but since I was used to my feet always aching, I just blew it off.
But over the weekend, the pain did NOT go away, as it usually did, so I called in sick the following Monday to work and made an appointment with a podiatrist, and a day later, had my foot xrayed, and he told me that I had a stress fracture. I was pissed at myself b/c I could not claim workers compensation, since my employer expected on-the-job injuries to be reported immediately, and this injury was the result of a gradual occurrence, there was no incident or accident that could explain the fracture. I had my foot immobilized in a walking cast and missed 3 months of work, most of it being unpaid, after I used up the remainder of my vacation and sick time.
Even now, there still is often lingering pain where the fracture occurred, and a couple of years ago, I went back to see the podiatrist, b/c I thought that maybe the fracture had reoccurred. He said that it was healed, after taking several more xrays. However there is a long tendon that runs from the calf area to the little toe of our feet, and the tendon pulls on the area where the fracture occurred, so maybe that is causing me to still have what might actually be tendonitis there which accounts for my pain.
