Cutler may be out for year

Big Ben played with a broken thumb on the throwing hand...early word id Cutler won't miss anytime.

Jay Cutler - QB - Bears

A source tells the Chicago Tribune that Jay Cutler's right (throwing) thumb is indeed fractured.
There's no word on when the injury occurred, or the severity. Cutler attempted passes on just four of the Bears' final 20 offensive snaps. He was picked off once and completed two short throws to Matt Spaeth and Matt Forte for a combined 24 yards. The Bears were in run-heavy mode anyway with an 11-point lead, but this will be a situation to monitor early in the week. We are tentatively expecting that Cutler won't miss any time.

Jay Cutler - QB - Bears

FOX Sports' Jay Glazer reports that Jay Cutler suffered a thumb injury in Sunday's win over the Chargers, and the Bears fear it may be fractured.
Cutler did finish the game with the injury, so we suspect it won't cost him any time. It could affect his accuracy, however. Glazer doesn't specify whether the injury is to Cutler's right or left thumb; he throws with his right hand. It's worth noting that Ben Roethlisberger has played with a broken thumb on his own throwing hand before, performing just as effectively as usual.

I heard on the radio this morning that he is having surgery and will miss at least a couple weeks, if not the entire regular season.

Just benched Cutler, and have to play jet's sanchez, my other qb is smith of the 49'ers, have to pick and choose between these two the rest of the matchups for fantasy season.
