The Toughest Players in RedWings History

McCarty was a great wing, but sticks out like a sore thumb on this list. There's a handful of guys from the 80's - present that could destroy him in a hockey fight. If it was overall toughness, guys like Yzerman would be on there. And there's Lidstrom who has missed very few games in 20 years.

A few legendary fighters passed through Detroit like Grimson, Crowder, Carkner. Maybe they weren't around long enough.

No argument on that list. Maybe Kocur ahead of Howe as a fighter, but that's it. Grimson didn't play here long enough.

Kocur was one mean guy lol. I miss probie, makes me wanna read his book again

knew a guy named Brian Blad who played in the AHL for alot of years , played alot of golf with him...told a story once about how he dropped the gloves with Kocur once and Kocur hit him in the head 3 times and cracked his helmet in half.
