Why would anyone bat Raburn higher than 8th?

Ground ball Ricky starting, and weak ass infield defense.

And with Jackson out and Ordonez in, the OF defense is shit too.

Just hope we can out score them tonight.

the Tiger's IF defense is bad no matter who they run out there. The combo of Guillen and Miggy has to be the worst right side in MLB.

Cabrera is not as bad as most people think, he is no Texiera, but is average.

Betemit is horrible with his glove, and so is Raburn.

Guillen has very little range but has a better glove, and decent dp instincts.

Peralta does not have a ton of range, but is our best infielder, so naturally he is out tonight.

If Verlander or Scherzer were pitching it would not seem so glaring, but Porcello or Penny who are ground ball or nothing pitchers....I'm worried.
 
Defensively, we are a horrible team.

The only plus defender we have is Jackson in CF.

Kelly, Dirks, and Santiago are plus defenders, but they don't really play that much, and really can't hit.

Actually, Cabrera is one of the worst defensive 1B in MLB. His offense more than makes up for it though.
 
What is Cleveland's lineup? How many of their top players are they 'resting" today?
 
JP should not be sitting again no matter how bad he is hitting lately.. We knew this might happen with Victor... Good thing Alex takes ice baths after games...
 
I don't understand why he rests Peralta so much either. You would think the guy is 40 years old playing on 1 leg for christ sake.
 
Didn't Ubaldo mostly shut down the Tiger lineup in Colorado this year before leaving with an injury?
 
Maybe Leyland wants to get fired so he can collect next year's pay without having to work.

goose egg now stands at 13 consecutive innings! pitiful. Ubaldo ain't nutton Texas didn't have any problems with him. Lay off the high stuff ya friggen hackers.
 
the bottom halfs are lasting much longer than the top halfs again already. gaaawd why does our offense suck so bad.
