was televised on CNN , my god did McCain look like a blathering idiot....poor Mittens looked so uncomfortable up there with him waiting for him to hand over the microphone...but the old codger kept rambling on and on almost to the point of being not being able to understand him.

not sure what the endorsement from the guy who suspended his campaign in 2008 to run back to Washington to deal with the collapsing economy gets you.....lol

on salon, they had an interesting article about this. Basically, McCain holds grudges, and if you piss him off more than anyone else, he will come after you. while McCain hates Romney who was his main rival during the 2008 primaries, he hates Santorum more, since Santorum double crossed him... http://www.salon.com/2012/01/04/john_mccains_grudge_politics/

going back to 2006, McCain did some campaigning on behalf of Santorum, even though Santorum was, and is a dumb, super right wing, pile of dung. This was the election in which Santorum was trounced by something like 16 points.

it was in that election though, that Santorum double-crossed McCain, openly campaigning against him. Now, more recently he started taking shots at McCain, god knows why. <blockquote>maybe Romney

Is a candidate even going to make it to November?

That's pretty common though (backing someone you don't really want to), people forget that Reagan and GHWB disliked each other very much.

ofcourse it's done all the time....Hillary attacked Barry relentlessly then joined his cabinet.

Yep.

And this September in Charlotte, she's going to join the ticket.

As the presidential candidate? I don't see her taking the VP spot, after being Secretary of State.

Probably a strategic move to pick up some more votes from the women.

He couldn't have picked Hillary last time even if he wanted her, not with them butting heads so recently.

And Biden is not exactly a headline grabber anyways.

he picked Biden because he was short on National Security experience ( actually had hardly any )....

don't be surprised if Romney picks a female as a running mate.

the Latino Governor of New Mexico has been mentioned by Mittens , along with Sen Ayotte from New Hampshire.
