thought he'd go to Eagles.....oh well

The Saints are set hire ex-Rams coach Steve Spagnuolo as defensive coordinator.
It looks like Juan Castillo will get another season as Eagles defensive boss. Spagnuolo had built a dominant defensive line with the Giants and had promising results up front with the Rams in 2010. He'll be charged with developing a consistent pass rush in New Orleans without leaning as heavily on the blitz as Gregg Williams. The Saints did well here, as Spags may actually be an upgrade. He'll keep the 4-3 front in place.

Not surprised he didn't go to the Eagles, I am surprised he went to the Saints though...interesting and the Saints definitely did well in snagging him.

woulda loved to see him on the lions sideline....gunther sucks.

Yeah, we didn't need anyone like Spags. We got Gunther!!!

An elite (Saints) football team making changes, but Schwartz/Mayhew want continuity..lol. Continuity my ass!!

You have to remember Gunther got extended months ago. No doubt after the way the season ended Mayhew is probably thinking he should've waited.
