Newt's own pole had always indicated that SC could be penetrated with a backdoor approach.

way too early to think one of these repubs can beat obama. They've been bashing him for months now. Until the prez can go one on one with the Republican candidate, the polls are going to be lower than they will be in the fall.

Michigan polls have both gop candidates losing to obama. Mitt is closer than newt.
