haha, it's funny to watch these chumps try to weasel their way out of that one, as they campaign in Michigan.

"socialism" and "communism" worked just fine, apparently.

Romney supported the bush bailout of the banks but opposed the auto industry bail out.....hmmm

I love Romney's remarks in his TV spot "Obama did things the Liberals have been wanting to do for years".

Like what Mittens?

End the war in Iraq?

Kill Osama Bin Laden?

Have GM turn in record quarterly profits, which they then in turn used a portion of to help the Unions?

JESUS CHRIST ON THE CROSS GET THAT ------- OUT OF THE WHITE HOUSE!!!!111ONE

all the money dumped into the auto companies didnt bail them out. Money down the drain because they went to bankruptcy court anyways(like Romney urged)

If you read his 2008 NYT OP ED, you might be surprised how much the bailout actually resembles the ideas he proposed in it.

A bankruptcy without the bailouts would have been a liquidation. These companies needed money to operate and the banks weren't lending.

There's no spinning out of this one. The Republicans have been railing on the Auto Bail Outs for 3 years now, it's been non stop and is part of their platform. Now they have egg on their face, not just for what they said 3 years ago, but for what they've been saying daily since.

How is it money down the drain when they are paying it back early, and with interest?

Money down the drain is when Bush gave Wall Street a bailout and they turned around and used it to give their executives 6 figure bonuses for running that shit into the ground.

You should get a govt. bailout so you can buy a clue.

Well, not every penny, it was Bush who initiated the auto bailout, using executive order to direct tens of billions of dollars that the Congess had allocated for the financial services bailout after Congress balked on allocating any funds to the automobile industry specifically.

So if these Republicans want to blame anybody for the auto industry bailout they should start with George W. Bush.
