Sore left wrist lands Carlos Guillen on disabled list.
Tigers call up infielder Rhymes to take veteran's place on roster.

I just read Mario's tweet....I was wondering how long it would be before he was back to the DL.

Age and injuries have derailed him and it's a shame because he contributed a lot to Detroit. I pray to God the Tiger's don't offer him or Maggs a contract for next season due to loyalty.

I hope that Guillen's sore wrist was the reason behind for his dropoff in offense, that said, obviously bringing up Rhymes isn't gonna be much of an upgrade if can contribute at the plate at all.

And the conga line at 2B continues...

At least maybe a shade better defense with Fister going today. Just hope Smokes doesn't stick him near the top of the lineup.

Ok Carlos... Thanks for your tiger service... Get better soon..

bleh. if we're going to call someone up from toledo who cant really hit a ton, it might as well be worth. he's better on defense than rhymes and can occasionally hit it out.

He's hitting over .300 in the minors, even if he drops the standard .20 points .280 would still be the best production at 2b all year for us.

He got had a rough April, but he is still a career .281 hitter in his MLB time.

I'm willing to give him a chance, everyone else was allowed to suck much longer then he was.

Well I kinda meant the Carlos as he was prior to his taunting of Headcase Weaver, but yeah, I hope that Rhymes can perform like he did late last season..we'll soon see.

This is the part of the program where Rhymes hits like .300 with a small sample size and then we get to argue ad nauseum whether or not he should be back next year.

Can't wait.

Yes, it would be so damn annoying if Rhymes hits .300!

KalineCountry[/color]]and with Delmon Young, Rhymes is sent back to Toledo.

Yeah who needs better gloves, since the Tigers will just bat their way out of any potentially displayed defensive deficiencies on the field!!

Who cares how Rhymes hits in Toledo>>>>

Sizemore in 486 minor league games hit .300 .388 .453 .841...

So it is not like WR will even get a shot in Detroit... Scott only got 65 games and 237 plate appearances in Detroit.. It looks like Jimmy has another player who by fault lands in his doghouse..

But I disagree with this move.. Raburn should never see the field anywhere.
