LenDale White - RB - Broncos Broncos released RB LenDale White.
White had been in and out of practice with numerous nagging injuries, which is common for players trying to come back from torn Achilles' tendons. The 45th overall pick in the 2006 draft, White's career has bottomed out as an injury-plagued running back unable to outlast undrafted rookies like C.J. Gable and Brandon Minor. White hasn't played a snap since Week 17 of 2009.

Lets hope Leshoure bounces back but this is an example of what you can expect as the norm with someone comming off an achillis injury.

He was never what u would call a gym rat and being in shape was always a issue with him. I think it's all about the work effort. You get back what u put in.

when was LenDale White anything special ?

even the year he had 1100+ yards he average under 4 ypc.

fuck him......

When was Mickel Leshoure? lol, in that one practice that one time? Just saying its few and far between for a rb to come back from that injury.

Yea the more I research these types of Injuries the less hope I have for Leshore ever making an impact on the Lions.

In a 2009 study it took NFL players an average of 11 months to return to football form from an Achilles tear..

The good news is that the average age of these players was 29 years, so Leshore's youth might help him beat the curve in that regard.

The study also showed a more disturbing trend...which tracked players performance for 3 years following the injury.

They used the Offenseive PR forumla for RB.

Using the Above Formula shows that there was a post injury reduction of 88%, 83%, and 78% in power ratings for wide receivers, running backs, and tight ends, respectively, over the 3-year post injury period...

Additionally, in the 3 years preceding injury, players played an average of 11.67 games per year, dropping all the way down to 6.7 games per season post injury.

These are not good stats....

Lets just hope that this kid can beat the odds

In the Miami-Dallas NBA finals game the stats indicated that every single team that one game three of an NBA finals game (since whenever they started keeping record of it) has gone on to win the series. Miami won game three, and we all know how that turned out lol.

Stats are good, but in this case it doesn't bother me too much. If we build on what's been happening the last few years, then nearly every area (OL being most critical) should be shored up next season or the one after. And if after Leshoure is given ample time to be evaluated on it and doesn't pan out, then it won't be as big of an issue as it would most other teams and we could pick another RB up. It would suck if it came to that though.

Find the Illini vs. Northwestern games last year that was played at Wrigley Field. That's what we have to look forward to next year when we draft a new LT, C and move Backus to G while Culbreath packs on the weight.

well considering the average age it happened to was 29..its no surprise their production dipped 3 years after it.......because they would be in their 30's

He probably saw what the online was about and said screw this and injured himself on purpose.

Lendale White was also self admittedly on the Patron diet for a while.... that might not have helped his cause. I doubt mass amounts of tequila mix well with success as an NFL running back.

That's a good point.
