The kid who played Oscar Schell (Thomas Horn) was found because he won a kid's jeopardy on tv... He never acted before and i thought the kid was amazing... Tom Hanks. and Sandra Bullock had great things to say about the kid... Horn speaks some Spanish, is fluent in Croatian, and has been studying Mandarin for two years. I thought he was pretty good in this movie which is a good movie about a very tough time, and what him and his mother in the movie are going through after 9/11.. Horn won three awards for his performance. he now has been cast for a couple of movies in 2013....
