I have never been so happy with a red wings coach than I am with Babs after watching the press conference. He spoke the truth about us not being good enough up front andI honestly think he was just sick of the effort by some of these guys. He is pissed at the early playoff exits and seems like he is determined to get better. Kenny has a lot of work to do and I think that this will be a very aggressive offseason for him. The experiment of trying to let guys like Filp and Huds play above their abilities is over. We have lots of cap room and a very determined coach, now do your job Kenny and give him something to work with!

I agree... When Holland only made the KQ move and the other minor move I was worried... it is time for Smith to get a full season with the big club and like you said ton's of money and cap room. Not sure how I feel about NL... Maybe one more year but i would also not be unhappy if he retired either..

He speaks the truth on that. Damn that's gotta make you feel shitty if you're one of those backend fowards. He does tell you the importance of someone like Helm. When I found out Eaves wasn't going to be back I knew the Wings would struggle. I like how he stood up for the defense by saying that they only give up a little more than 20 shots a game.

Yea the defense wasn't that bad this series...the main problem was the offense..The defense had to play perfect every game because our offense was only scoring 1 or 2 goals. It's hard to win games like that.

I really hope they sign Parise, he has stated how much he loves the red wings and he is a Bonafied goal scorer. They also need to get another faceoff specialist for the second line so they can out pav and Z on the same line next season. I think Nyquist and Mursak will make the team next year and they should bring some much needed energy/scoring ability to the 4th line.

I don't know if some of these guys got complacent or what after winning the cup in 08, but when you bring in new guys and call up the young guys, they work their tails off to win playoffs games. We need some of those guys on the Wings.

As I Said before, Kenny needs to be very aggressive this offseason, whether that be a trade or a FA, it doesn't matter..he judge has to shake up this team before its too late (like the pistons)

I just don't understand standing pat at the deadline. We were injured Pavel was coming back from a surgery and he really did nothing to help a 100 point team..Some times you need a jolt.. Oh well it will be interesting to see what Holland does in the off season.
