they just finished no-hitting the Dodgers. Milwood pitched for 6 innings before leaving with a right groin strain and 5 other pitchers finished it out (Furbush for 2/3 an inning, Pryor for 1/3, Luetge for 1/3, League for 2/3, and Wilhelmsen for a full inning). insanity.

History of Combined No-Hitters

June 23, 1917: Red Sox, Babe Ruth (0 IP) - Ernie Shore (9 IP)

"Ruth was involved in a combined no-hitter that year. On June 23 against the Washington Senators, after walking the leadoff hitter, Ruth erupted in anger, was ejected, and threw a punch at the umpire, which would result in a ten-game suspension. Ernie Shore came in to replace Ruth and retired all twenty-six batters he faced, for which he was credited with a perfect game until the 1990s."

April 30, 1967: Baltimore Orioles, Steve Barber (8-2/3 IP) - Stu Miller (1/3 IP)

"On April 30, 1967, he was removed from a game against the Detroit Tigers with two outs in the ninth inning after having given up two runs despite having not surrendered a hit; Stu Miller got the final out to complete the no-hitter, although the Orioles lost 2-1."

September 28, 1975: Oakland A's, Vida Blue (5 IP) - Glenn Abbott (1 IP) - Paul Lindblad (1 IP) - Rollie Fingers (2 IP)

"On September 28, 1975, Abbott pitched one-ninth of a no-hitter over the California Angels on the last day of the regular season, relieving Vida Blue, who threw the first five innings. Abbott retired Ike Hampton, Jerry Remy and Dave Chalk in order in the sixth inning before being replaced by Paul Lindblad and later Rollie Fingers. This was the first four-pitcher combined no-hitter in Major League history."

July 28, 1976: Chicago White Sox, Blue Moon Odom (5 IP) - Francisco Barrios (4 IP)

"In just his second start for the ChiSox on July 28, Odom combined with reliever Francisco Barrios to pitch a no-hitter against his former team, the Oakland A's. Odom pitched the first five innings, Barrios the last four, in what would be his last big-league victory."

April 11, 1990: California Angels, Mark Langston (7 IP) - Mike Witt (2 IP)

"In 1990, he pitched the first seven innings for a 2–0 combined no-hitter with Mike Witt. Witt, who had pitched a perfect game back in 1984, tossed the final two frames. This combined no-hitter remained the last one in Angels history until Ervin Santana pitched a no-hitter on July 27, 2011."

July 13, 1991: Baltimore Orioles, Bob Milacki (6 IP) - Mike Flanagan (1 IP) - Mark Williamson (1 IP) - Gregg Olson (1 IP)

"On July 13, 1991, the Orioles defeated the Oakland A's 2-0 on a combined no-hitter. Milacki pitched the first six innings of the game, with no runs on no hits, three walks and three strikeouts. Mike Flanagan, Mark Williamson, and Gregg Olson each followed up with a no-hit scoreless inning to complete the no-hitter."

September 11, 1991: Atlanta Braves, Kent Mercker (6 IP) - Mark Wohlers (2 IP) - Alejandro Pena (1 IP)

"The first, on September 11, 1991 against the San Diego Padres at Fulton County Stadium, was a combined effort between Mercker, the starter, who pitched six innings; Mark Wohlers, who pitched the seventh and eighth innings; and Alejandro Pena, who pitched the ninth. The Braves defeated the Padres 1-0."

July 12, 1997: Pittsburgh Pirates, Francisco Cordove (9 IP) - Ricardo Rincon (1 IP)

"The following year, on July 12, 1997, at a sold out Three Rivers Stadium, he pitched nine innings of a combined 10-inning no-hitter for the Pirates. Ricardo Rinc?n pitched the 10th inning. The Pirates won the game on a dramatic three-run, pinch hit home run in the bottom of the 10th by Mark Smith. This game pitched by C?rdova and Rinc?n is recognized as the only combined, extra-inning no-hitter in modern MLB history and is the last no-hitter in Pirates history to date."

June 11, 2003: Houston Astros, Roy Oswalt (1 IP) - Pete Munro (2-2/3 IP) - Kirk Saarloos (1-1/3 IP) - Brad Lidge (2 IP) - Octavio Dotel (1 IP) - Billy Wagner (1 IP)

"His career highlight came on June 11, 2003, when he combined with Houston pitchers Roy Oswalt, Kirk Saarloos, Brad Lidge, Octavio Dotel, and Billy Wagner to throw the first no-hitter against the New York Yankees in 45 years. The Astros sextet also set a major league record for the highest number of pitchers to throw a no-hitter."

June 8, 2012: Seattle Mariners, Kevin Millwood (6 IP) - Charlie Furbush (2/3 IP) - Stephen Pryor (1/3 IP) - Lucas Luetge (1/3 IP) - Brandon League (2/3 IP) - Tom Wilhelmsen (1 IP)

"On June 8th, Millwood pitched the first 6 innings of a combined no-hitter against the Los Angeles Dodgers before leaving the game due to a groin injury.[12] Charlie Furbush, Stephen Pryor, Lucas Luetge, Brandon League, and Tom Wilhelmsen helped him complete the bid."
