Griffin out of Olympics after suffering meniscus tear

I read he was dealing with pain at the end of the season. Besides, these guys train all off season whether its for the olympics or not. I realize these owners are paying huge salaries but we've really lost focus on the honor presented for representing the United States in basketball. Guys back out like it's the dunk contest or something. Seems like no one has that sense of pride like there was earlier. Maybe guys don't feel like it's that big of a deal because we've won so often for so long, but it's kind of a shame.

Griffin was hurt in the playoffs and never fully healed. Not to mention, he wasn't doing anything with Team USA that he wouldn't have been doing anyway in offseason training.
