Have to agree - it is average. Gun play could be much improved. If you liked Risen, you will probably like this one too. I have seen better games in this genre - RPG, Adventure.
One last thing the review in your link says that is pretty true, I wasn't impressed with the skill trees, although, admittedly, I haven't done a full evaluation yet.
