No changes, a St. Louis loss has tightened things

Updated

No changes to note

This week, Houston could be the first team eliminated from playoff contention this season.

Updated

Cincinnati takes over the top spot in the NL, no other changes.

Houston could be the first team officially eliminated from the playoffs tonight.

Updated

Houston is officially the first team eliminated this season

St. Louis has lost 4 in a row that's closed the gap in the WC race

Washington and Cincinnati are tied at the top, with Washington holding the head-to-head edge 5-2

Updated

No changes to note

Atlanta loses and St. Louis wins which closes the gap between the WC spots

Chicago could be eliminated from the NL Central today

Updated

St. Louis has lost 5 of 6 and now only lead the 2nd WC spot by a half game over the Dodgers.

Chicago has been eliminated from NL Central contention.

Updated

No changes

There are a few teams that are probably out of it, but they continue to hang around (mainly Milwaukee and Airzona). If one of them goes on a run, the WC could get a little more interesting.

Updated

Nothing big, St. Louis loses which keeps the 2nd WC spot close. Arizona and Milwaukee win again and are now both 6.5 back of St. Louis.

Miami could be eliminated from the NL East tonight.

Updated

Atlanta has opened up a huge lead in the first wild card spot, 4.5 up on St. Louis and 6 up over the rest. Apparently nobody wants the 2nd WC spot, every time St. Louis loses, LA or Pittsburgh can't capitalize.

Updated

Atlanta is creeping up on the Nationals, as well as taking a 7 game lead in the WC overall

Arizona, Milwaukee, and Philly are still hanging around in the WC

Miami has been eliminated from the NL east, Chicago is almost eliminated entirely, Colorado could be eliminated from the NL west early this week

Updated

No changes as far as positioning goes

However, things are really starting to get close for the 2nd wild card spot. Recent wins by Philly and Milwaukee have moved them to within 4 games of St. Louis, and Arizona within 5 games.

Updated

No big changes, aside from a few eliminations

St. Louis loses again and now 6 teams are within 4 games of each other for that 2nd wild card spot.

The division leaders have opened up massive leads on their respective divisions, all lead by at least a week's worth of games, so with 3 weeks ago, they're pretty much locked up.

Updated

No changes

Chicago has been officially eliminated

Updated

LA has finally caught up to St. Louis for the 2nd wild card spot, LA holds the head-to-head advantage and would host the tiebreaker game for the 2nd spot.

Updated

St. Louis reclaims the 2nd wild card spot

Colorado is officially eliminated from the playoffs

Milwaukee has had an impressive run, on August 15th they were 11.5 back in the WC, they are now just 2.5 back and have gone 22-8 since that date

Updated

No changes to note

Atlanta is still hanging around in the AL East, just 5 back now

Updated

No changes to note, a few games were postponed last night

Houston is the first (and maybe only) team to reach 100 losses this season

Updated

No position changes, but a few things to note
- Cincinnati now has a magic number of 3 and they look to be the first team this season to win their division, they are also half a game back of Washington for the best record in the NL
- Miami is completely eliminated from the playoffs
- Pittsburgh is eliminated from the NL Central
