his wife is havin a baby! congrats, big guy! apparently a player to be named later will be called up from toledo to take his spot for the day.

any ideas?
 
That's depressing.. Chalk that game up as an L. Hopefully Max comes thru tonight and locks up the series win. Tomorrow can be the throwaway game that yesterday was supposed to be.
 
Bring up Stribey. I want to see him play. Dirks probably. So is he playing tonight?
 
yeah, he's in his usual spot tonight.



and i wouldnt chalk up tomorrow as a loss. we've won plenty of games that cabrera went 0-fer and we wouldnt miss him on defense either. he's the best hitter in the AL, but we can win a game without him.
 
could put martinez at 1B and bat Ordonez DH??? Id much rather have dirks, Betemit, or insert name here at the plate but im assuming theyd use Ordonez there and get him a game.
 
Hardly an L.

We have a solid lineup, obviously missing Cabrera hurts, but others can step up.
 
according to twitter, it will indeed be santos who will join the team. look for avila to get a day off tomorrow.

i think the time off might do miggy some good. He has not been hitting like himself the past couple months.

I also heard a report on ESPN that it is Santos. He will catch tonights game.
