1915 Tigers 100 wins/no pennant

Pretty impressive considering there were 8 less games back then.
 
Great article Ty... Yup in the end they were 8-14 verses the Red Sox's... That is what did them in. The two best teams were in the AL that year.... The Sox crushed a 90 win Philadelphia team for the Series. It would be the closest Cobb would every get to the post season again...

Phils won game 1 behind Grover Cleveland Alexander and then lost 4 straight. The Phils did not win another postseason game again until the 1970s!

Thanks. I did some reading on Alex. a month ago. So, it was still fresh. Now is the time to be a Phillies fan I guess!
