Finally figured that with my current computer being so outdated, 7yrs old and with me getting into my MBA that I needed a new computer. Had a friend of mine who is much more up to date in computers help me get this guy:

http://www.newegg.com/Product/Product.aspx?Item=N82E16883227429

Had to also buy a monitor:

http://www.newegg.com/Product/Product.aspx?Item=N82E16824009316

Hopefully, this machine gives me what I need. Mostly just need the capacity to play Counter Strike:GO and then just Microsoft office, download some videos/music etc.

Not too bad.

The thing I dislike is most pre-built PC's are made with cheap components then marked up based on the CPU/GPU chipsets only.

That one does not look too bad as far as cost/components, but you really have to watch our for some of those that say "elite" and then drop a $62 MoBo in it.

Yea I was informed about that. But this computer will be one that I will buy new components for to upgrade it or add RAM, or new video card, etc.

Thanks for your input though

Personally, the first thing I'd upgrade would be the Power Supply.

That's the #1 area pc manufacturers cut corners on, i saw it's a 480 watt which could be cutting it close if you plan to upgrade.

Pick up a nice 600-800 watt power supply from a good manufacturer and it will last for years, and could be used in future builds.

Yea I was told I would have to upgrade the power supply when I upgrade the video card. I'm not a big gamer just need to run CS:GO and everything that is less than that.

I would have went i7 personally and yes the power supply needs upgrading. But if you're not playing games, its alright.

Huge price jump between i5 and i7 though.

If you just want more cores and a bigger cache I'd just go AMD, get an FX-8150 chip for about the same price as that i5. [actually just looked and it's almost $30 less than the i5 he has]

But yeah, for light gaming it will be fine.

I suppose a place or two does that but look around and you can get a pre-built box with i7, everything else being equal of course, 200 bucks.
