word is he won't be ready and is expected to miss Tampa Bay game.

I don't want him back to soon when he's not 100% but I wish he was 100% by week one.

Its just a screw in his foot....i dont understand whats taking so long. Its been like 3-4 weeks! /sarcasm off

Would have been nice to see him put a hurtin' on Freeman and Blount. Oh well, get him rested up for the season opener against the Chiefs.

Wooooooooooooooooooooooooooo!!!

We got depth at the position, so I don't even wanna see this dude on the field until he's 100%. Not that "He played at 75-80% for the year" stuff either.

As long as Fairly is healthy, in shape and ready to go on MNF I'm happy

He can't be a bust. He's black. Ask poopster.

Speaking of ol poopster I think someone said it here before but he is loving life on the new espn forums. Closing the old board is the best thing that has ever happened to him. He's like Travolta being cast in Pulp Fiction, totally revitalized his career.

Nick Fairley - DL - Lions

Nick Fairley (foot) remains in a walking boot.
At this point, it's hard to see Fairley being available for the season opener. Stress fractures need to be healed completely in order to avoid further aggravation down the line. Fairley will also need time to get in game shape as he hasn't practiced in nearly a month.
