Faraday cage suits + Tesla coils

interesting timing. I was going to make a thread about the faraday cage.

have been casually getting together my "emergency survival" kit at home over the last couple months.

a cage for the short wave radio, set of walkie-talkies, and motion-detector alarms is on my to-do list.

also a solar-powered battery charger would be nice. they make those?

and a small generator with some way to muffle the exhaust so it could run almost silently would be huge. I think I could fortify myself in my apartment and live for weeks with my setup.

The 1st rule about prepping should be to not disclose your prepping. That being said, I don't think it hurts my chances to reveal that my ace in the hole is the fact that the Marines in the neighborhood see my knowledge of beer making to be a critical need.

hmmm... you're right. I wasn't as worried about other posters on this board, since none of them live near me, but now that you've pointed out how easy it is to find this board... I'm concerned.
