MLB wants changes to Japan league posting system

"Teams want a clearer idea of the cost for these rights and agents, like Scott Boras, see the high cost of the posting lowering the amount of money available to their Japanese clients. "The system has already failed," Boras says, who represents Matsuzaka, "the system doesn't benefit anyone."

Yeah, Boras' and other agencies' percentage cut of the Japanese players' salary likely gets reduced as well. Not very surprisingly, he never mentioned that

Instead of changing it get rid of it. Ichiro is the only one who came out that was even worth his bid. And any system that makes it impossible for certain teams to not have a shot is bad. Can you imagine Pittsburgh throwing up 50m for 1 guy?
