twins trade ben revere

Jeepers..Twinks trade away BOTH of their former CFers?!?

Span and Revere are history and the Twinks appear to have not gotten that much in return that would soon help round out their roster on the team next season, Worley is likely going to help fill out their rotation, his pitching stats last season in the NL appear to be mediocre at best, although he was #3 for NL ROY in '11, but he will be pitching in the more offensively explosive AL. Unless the Twinks secretly plan on going after Hamilton, who will they get or have to play their CF/OF vacancies next year? Span "was" their leadoff batter as well. I don't know what they have in their farm system who might be near majors ready and successfully be promoted for an OF position after ST. Are the Twins trying to make MLB history and lose 120+ games next season while rebuilding? hmmm...

"May was the #69 prospect in baseball and the top prospect in the system according to Baseball America before the 2012 season started, but he took a step back in Double-A, allowing almost twice as many home runs as he had in Class-A."

Perhaps the Twinks scouts see an immediate rebound season coming from him in their AA minor league affiliate, but he doesn't look like he or the "blue chip" prospect SP Meyer that they got for Span are within a year or even two of pitching in the bigs, but hey, I am certainly not any pitching talent evaluator.

iirc the kid in the minors who at one time was thought to move to the majors quicker than revere is aaron? hicks. not sure of the first name.

Most plate appearances, last 2 seasons, w/ zero homers: BEN REVERE 1034, Chris Getz 639, Paul Junish 552, Jarrod Dyson 383, Omar Vizquel 345.
Revere's bat an "is what it is" thing or is there room for significant improvement?
Power's limited. Hope patience improves.

Aaron Hicks is correct, soo..unless the Twins make more trades and/or probably more unlikely dabble in the FA market for an OFer, (Ryan Raburn, Don Kelly and ex-Twin/Tiger Delmon Young are still available..lol.) it looks like he will be on the 25 man roster along with perhaps the 24 year old OFer Joe Benson, who hit a robust .239 in very limited action (24 games) last season. He was rated #99 by BBA, pre-2012.
