Trade has possibly put Toronto as a really serious contender this season. That rotation they now have is sick.

R.A Dickey
Josh Johnson
Mark Buehrle
Brandon Morrow
Ricky Romero

Looks like the Yankees and Red Sox at this point in the off-season, will be battling each other to stay out of the AL East cellar next season..that is..IF the O's are for real, and are not just one season, one-run winning wonders. The Rays and Blue Jays both look like genuine contenders on pre-season paper.

I have a problem thinking a vet pitcher that is from the NL who has only pitched well for one team is worth trading for. If he goes less than a 4.0 ERA I'd be very surprised.

Not a done deal yet, although it probably will be.

"Negotiations on a contract extension for R.A. Dickey are the only thing holding up a trade between the New York Mets and Toronto Blue Jays, FoxSports.com has reported, citing unnamed sources."

"The reigning NL Cy Young winner will appear in a Blue Jays uniform in 2013 as they make a run at AL East supremacy -- assuming the sides can work out a deal. The report says Dickey has until Tuesday at 2 p.m. ET to agree to the extension."

"Multiple reports indicate the Mets also will acquire catcher John Buck, Class A right-hander Noah Syndergaard and cash while sending catcher Josh Thole to Toronto."
