"The AP (via The Miami Herald) reports the deal is worth $2.75MM guaranteed with another $1.25MM in performance bonuses."

"The Mariners and Raul Ibanez have agreed to a contract, reports Ken" Rosenthal of FOX Sports. It's a one-year deal according to WFAN's Sweeny Murti (on Twitter). The ACES client played in Seattle from 1996-2000 and 2004-2008."

So the Yankees lose one of their best players on offense last postseason to FA. Sure looks like they are going to be somewhat weaker at least in position/DH players on offense and defense at this point in the off-season,and especially to start next season, than they were at the end of last season. They still may have a decent pitching staff, but who knows if the aging Mo who was injured and on the DL for much of last season, will be just as good as he has been in the past as their closer, and it looks like they won't be resigning the now FA Soriano.

i think the yanks are gonna be lucky go get over .500 this year, and i find that hilarious.
