5th Starter?
It is still very early, but it is looking like Turner is quickly pitching his way out of any chance for the 5th spot. I think Oliver and Smyly have looked the best , so far, but now Oliver needs too move up and pitch in the first 3 or 4 innings to get some innings against the major leaguers...- randyf10

What is the latest on Brian Roberts?
He used to be just what we need at 2b, a 2b with good D and speed. He could lead off for us. Rangers still better at 5 or 6 positions?
I love the Prince signing but I would still take Kinsler over our 2b, Andrus over Peralta, Beltre over our 3b if Cabrera DH's, and all three of Texas OFers over our 3, even though it is close with Murphy and DY in LF and Boesch and Cruz in RF. What do other think?- randyf10

2b is a very weak position in MLB
In searching what 2b we would be willing to go all in on with Jacob Turner or Nick C, plus others, I don't see one, it is a very,very weak position. Earlier in the year I thought Brandon Phillips had possibilities but it looks like the Reds are close to all in also this year. Any ideas for 2b...- randyf10

Worst case scenario, not bad
I look at this signing this way, we are now better for 2012 than we were yesterday morning, however, as good as Prince is, it will be tough to put up the numbers in the clutch that VMart did last year. Who do you think goes after Verlander? It will not be Fister, so that leaves Porcello on 4 days rest in a park where you need ground balls or Scherzer after throwing 1 1/3 innings last nite? What is up with that TBS Strike Zone?
I can't believe they haven't gotten rid of that stupid box they are trying to use to show the strike zone. That thing is wrong 50% of the time, it makes fans irate and umpires look terrible. A pitch a foot outside shows up like it is just off the strike zone, it is a joke :)- randyf10

Weds. nite, Jered Weaver vs the Rangers, if that game determines home field advantage to you want Weaver to beat the Rangers and maybe take the ERA title away from Verlander? PLAYOFF TICKETS ON STUB HUB
It is too bad someone can't come up with a way that only real baseball fans can buy these playoff tickets :( In less than 24 hours there are 4300 tickets on Stub Hub for game 1 of the playoffs. It just makes me sick all these people gobbling up the tickets who don't even care about the Tigers...- randyf10
