    I doubt he makes it as well. It's 1 thing to have the #'s, it's another to have the household name or a slew of awards. Not getting the MVP and playing in a smaller market doesn't help. Alot of this is politics. He's 1 of the all-time Tiger greats. That's pretty good.

    I guess it's never hands down. But, Det has more talent than any team in the division. It's a weak division.

    What team will give the Tiger's the biggest challenge for the division? I think Chicago and Minn are at their weakest going into a season, in a few yrs. That could change btw now and April. I think Cleveland played over their heads for alot of the season and KC will prob be better than 011. But...

    IDK. There are guys like R Moss that never grow up. But others like Mark Aguirre for ex, get w/the right group of players and shape up. He's only 27. Maybe he got sick of being on a mediocre team.

    Geez, it was only a couple yrs ago HanRam was considered 1 of the top talents in all baseball. Now after a rough patch, ppl are busting his chops. Weird. If Det could pick him up w/o giving up the farm, I'd do it yesterday. Get him, then worry about where he plays. Winning cures all ills.

    Turner would not only have to be good enough to make it to MLB and stick around, he would have to be better than Gio at some point, become a #3 starter at least. That's alot to expect. If GG was 30 or older, not under contract for yrs, i mite agree.

    If they acquired Gio w/o giving up any of the 4 SP, they would have the best rotation in the div, if not the league, and the best BP in the div. They would be very diff to beat in the div. Making the post season is all that matters.
