I was wondering why the streaming service wasn't working anymore. That sucks!

Damn it I got the date wrong, it's the 9th not the 8th. can you fix that main thread title someone mod? I don't know what day it is half my waking hours.

Austin Meadows is tentatively scheduled to start a rehab assignment Wednesday for Mud Hens after completing baserunning drills today at Comerica Park. He?ll rehab at least 7-10 days before Tigers weigh reinstating him from injured list.
Jason Beck

Tigers OF Austin Meadows did some hitting and base-running today. He's cleared to report to Toledo starting tomorrow.
He will serve as DH on Day 1. Could be a 7-10 day assignment as he works his way back into shape.

Baddoo gone when he comes back I?ll bet

I see the tiger bats are off the rails again tonight, pathetic. Miggy would make for a better hitting coach probably

Might gotted a single Dalton, career hit #3,076. The night is a victory

Tigers get the first two on bottom 7 but then W.Castro, Schoop and Barnhart all shit the bed

And with that I?m going to bed

When a pitcher has completely lost the strike zone with his fast ball, stop swinging at it outside of the strike zone. My god.

Guardians 5 - Tigers 2: Bieber fever plagues a sickly offense.
Tyler Alexander was solid but the offense was unable to put anything together against Cleveland?s starter.

Between Matt Manning and Tyler Alexander, the Tigers have gotten 14 innings with only two runs allowed from their starters in the last two games and lost anyway.

Totally Tigers

Today, another opportunity for readers to discuss the hottest topics in a forum where thoughtful dialog and a variety of opinions are welcomed.

Let?s create some running conversational threads. And for those of you still going into offices, here?s a question to take with you ? or use via Zoom ? as you talk to your co-workers.

Here is today?s topic:

Last week, Miguel Cabera seemed to indicate that he was pondering retirement after this year. In interviews, he talked about how much his right knee was hurting and inhibiting his ability to play the game. The very next day, he backtracked on his comments and said he would be back for the 2023 season.

Miggy was diagnosed in 2019 with a chronic knee condition that 4 top specialists recommended not to be treated with surgery. His manager, A. J. Hinch, said that Miggy?s knee is now forcing him into a part-time role with the team. He will no longer be able to play 2 days in a row.

Cabrera has 1 more season with Detroit and will be paid a guaranteed $32 mill. The Tigers will also need to pay him an additional $8 mill as a buyout for the 2024 and 2025 seasons.

Starting now and going through next year, Miggy will be playing approximately 3 days a week as a part-time player. But he will take up a full roster spot that will complicate the rebuilding process, maintaining a 40-man roster and bringing up prospects. Overall, this will slow the rebuilding process.

Is keeping Miggy on the roster the best thing to do?

Shouldn?t he have an official farewell tour in 2023 before he retires?

Or should the Tigers move forward without Miggy after this season?

Is there another role Cabrera could play with the team?

What do you believe is the best way to approach this dilemma?
What should the Tigers do about Miggy?

1. Let him play in 2023 and give him a farewell tour.

2. Turn him into a hitting coach for 2023.

3. Have him retire after this season (2022).

let's hope. He has been terrible.

I'm going to the Mud Hens game on Friday. I'm looking forward to seeing Tork and Carpenter.
