Seattle @ Detroit May 14 Game 39

Its easy to say bunt after the fact. Did you want Schoop to bunt?

I just got home and turned it on with runners on 2nd and 3rd no outs in a tie score late in the game.
I'm old school can't help it I hate unproductive at bats with no outs and runners on.

Oh well hbp and walk saved the day.

Not with Greene. Unless he's bunting for a base hit it makes little sense. We don't even know if he could get it done to move the runners.

Sigh. Nothing seems easy for the Tigers .

MONDAY MUSINGS.
Totally Tigers

Throughout the week, there are so many smaller stories hitting the media. They may be bite-size, but often they are just as important as the headline-grabbing news. Sometimes, even more.

And that?s what brings me to today. A way to bring them out in the open and invite conversation about some of these subjects.

And that?s the plan for Mondays. Keeping track of these mighty little bits that hit my radar throughout the week and sharing them with you today because I know one or more will also resonate with you. So, let?s kick off this week?s musings?

The Detroit Tigers bullpen deserves a lot of credit for the team's surprising start to the season.
Their bullpen has an ERA of 3.91, good for 11th in baseball. They threw 6.1 scoreless innings against the Mariners in a game three win.

Some stats on the Detroit Tigers in May:

- 26 walks drawn (last in MLB)
- .695 team OPS (19th in MLB)
- 51 runs scored (18th in MLB)

- 3.53 team ERA (8th in MLB)
- 89 strikeouts (26th in MLB)
- 1.18 team WHIP (6th in MLB)

The Tigers are 8-4 in the month of May.
