So far tigers 12-7 for September and have out scored opponents 91-61. Tigers have a shot to be 500 or better against the west if they can take this series in Oakland (14-15) after tonight. Also one more win in Oakland Guarantees a above .500 road record. Team is 40-38 after tonight.

That damn home record) all we do is flip the home record next season and this division is ours
And get closer to .500 against the beast of the east.

Spencer is sitting at 29 homers and 86 rbis after tonight with 9 games left. Sure would be cool to see a 30/100 season from him. 14 RBI?s in 9 games is probably a bit to much.

Tigers 7 - Athletics 3: Tarik Skubal is a bad man.
The Tigers got contributions up and down the lineup, but the A?s were just bullied by the Tigers? southpaw.
BYBTB

Tarik Skubal joins some nice company with seven or more strikeouts in seven straight games.

Its Carpenter I'm more concerned with. He hasn't hit a homerun sent 6/23, None in September after 9 in Aug. He also hit .347 with 13 xbh, 20 rbi's. He is batting .312 with 5 doubles and a triple in Aug. But still the homer have been gone for a while.

The guys smokin'. Not worried at all about him. He looks like a pure hitter, our best.

Tarik Skubal has 9 or more strikeouts and 1 or fewer ER allowed in 3 consecutive starts.
He is the 2nd player in Tigers history to do so, joining Justin Verlander in 2009.

Tarik Skubal made his season debut July 4th coming back from injury.
76.1 IP
3.0 fWAR (1st)
2.95 ERA (10th)
2.15 FIP (1st)
0.92 WHIP (3rd)
11.08 K/9 (5th)
(MLB rank in that time frame).

The metrics show it isn't a fluke. Skubal has raised his GB% from 45.7% (good) to 52.4% (elite)

Tarik Skubal Is Pitching Like an Ace.
Fangraphs

It was a masterful start, the best in a season that has the left-hander looking like he?s taken a stride toward joining the league?s upper echelon of starting pitchers. After undergoing flexor tendon surgery last summer, Skubal started 2023 on the 60-day injured list. But since his July 4 debut, he?s been lights out in 14 starts, with a 2.95 ERA, 2.34 xERA, 2.15 FIP, 2.70 xFIP, 31.8% K%, 4.7% BB%, 0.92 WHIP, and .201 opponent average over 76.1 innings. In that time, he?s also led all pitchers with 3.0 WAR.
