Johnny B. Wockenfuss, one of the most-popular Tigers of the early 1980s, has died at 73. RIP.

He suffered from dementia for four years. Family attributes that to the collisions at home plate. In a 2011 interview with me, he lobbied for the collision ban that went into effect a few years later.
