I hate watching Cisnero pitch. Can't remember a clean inning from him when I watch him
But he gets the save. Reminds me of some past tiger relievers.

Detroit???..?..21-24 2.5
Cleveland???..21-26 3.5
Chicago??.?...19-30. 6.5
Kansas City??14-35. 11.5

I wish we had some phenomenal kids on the farm that could put us over the top in this crappy division. Just get in and you never know maybe Baez hits 10 homers in the post season and opts out lol ! All kidding aside pay miggy his money and make him a coach and bring up another bat. Glad they are keeping it interesting but man this division feels like it could be won by any of the top four teams if they could just put a good 50 game stretch of games together.

Maybe like '87 or worse. Minny won only 87 and won the WS that year. Upset us in the process.

To an extent, I agree that ownership is mostly to blame. But I don't blame the current ownership, I blame Mr I for signing him when he did.

My "blame percentage"

60% Mr I for the stupid timing of the contract

30% Miggy for 1) not taking care of himself and 2) not going to management to offer to quit after last year (still getting his $40M)

10% current ownership and management for not coming up with a better solution to this huge problem

Yeah, I remember that, it sucked.

I think the Tigers had the best regular season record in MLB.

I was back in town and actually attended the division championship winning game.

Yes ... like the Cardinals ambushed the Tigers in 2006. I think they had 83 wins. Both series were 5 games.

My dad's company had season tickets back then. I went to the final game of the '84 world series. In 87 he asked me if I wanted to go to the ALCS vs MN. I remember telling him no, let's just wait and go to the WS. Stupid.

In both 2006 and 2012 - expert talking heads, not just Tigers fans - note how the long layoff after the ALCS got the Tigers starting pitchers out of sync/rhythm - most especially Justin Verlander, the common denominator on both those Tigers teams.

For what it?s worth.
