Dirks on the radio today said before the game Olson needed to use his fastball more and not Rely on his slider which can get hit if he misses his spot. What a great start by him today.

With only two games left with the Twins at 7-4 the tigers clinched winning the season series with them. First time since 2016.

Bo with 2 innings to get the save.

I also appreciate Baez bunt single. Tough pitch to bunt.

Riley?s 453 foot homer was the longest hit by a tiger at home since Jr Martinez in 2016 or 17. It was in the mlb network I caught it at a glance.

FIVE FOR FRIDAY.
Totally Tigers

We?re into the last third of the 2023 season and the bloom is officially off the rose for many Tiger fans. The number of games under .500 has gradually increased even despite the series win against the Twins. The team is now 7 games out of 1st place. Talk of the potential of earning a wild card or taking the AL Central is no longer being taken seriously.

But does this mean there?s nothing left to look forward to watching this year?

No, but the goals have changed.

Instead of a focus on winning, attention is now turning to next year by looking at the promising bits we may be seeing now. With 1 exception.

Here are my 5 reasons for continuing to watch what is left of this season.
