Earlier this week, Tiger great Willie Hernandez passed away.

He was best known for his stellar pitching back in 1984 that included a 1.92 ERA, winning both the Cy Young Award and MVP. Just 1 of 11 (including Justin Verlander) pitchers in baseball history to do that.

Hernandez was only 1 of 3 hurlers to win both awards and the World Series in the same year, joining Sandy Koufax and Denny McLain.
