Designate Robertson is now DetroitTigerSnark Blog

not bad. Only thing he kept harping on was going from Max/Porcello to Green/Simon. It is really Porcello/Smyly to Green/Simon since we are looking at the full season...not just the roster at the end of the season. Price replaces Max.

I believe he's talking about how the rotation ended last year, and how it will be this year, and he's correct it's subtracting Max and Porcello and adding Simon and Greene (most likely). Price, Verlander, and Sanchez are no change.

true...but I think it is more appropriate to compare what the Tigers had for most of the season last year to what they have going into this season. A lot of people say it is going to be a huge downgrade at CF going from AJ to Gose/Davis but that isn't what they had at the end of the year.

Going into last season

Max
JV
Sanchez
Porcello
Smyly

This season

Price
JV
Sanchez
Green
Simon

What we had to finish the year is a more apt comparison, IMO. We already lost Smyly and gained Price, so replacing Max and being stupid and trading Porcello are the 2 we need to compare the replacements to.

If we had kept Max and Rick, we still would have had Price and not Smyly, so the beginning of the year comparison is moot in this case because he's already been replaced.

I like how he agrees with us on the Fister debacle. I know pretty hard not too.

I don't know any Tigers fans that thinks trading Fister was a good trade. really don't know how you could considering how terrible the players we got for him turned out to be.

There were quite a few here who really went to the wall for DD. They told us he knows what he's doing, we should trust him, he got us Cabrera, etc.

A few posters ate that dogshit trade with a spoon and told us how good Ray was supposed to be. Even defending it long after we traded Lombotomy for the 9 day corpse.

Of course it's possible a few of them made the argument just to make an argument period.

The only possible bright side to the Fister trade is that Greene might turn out good.

wow another negative blog on the Tigers, how surprising.

you'd think the Tigers have 0 good players on the roster after reading that. terrible.

I guess you missed the part where he said "pessimistic", or didn't understand what that means.

negative = pessimistic.

my point is nearly everything i read here is negative towards this team, having positive outlook on anything Tigers related is borderline frowned upon.

Then go away. No one is forcing you to read any of this. If you wanna read nothing but sunshine and rainbows, go read the Freep or Detroit News tigers articles and nothing else.

Rogo has been doing his blog for years (both this one and his old one.) Most of us love it, if you don't like it, don't read it.

I will on my own terms, I made a comment on how I feel about it, and if you don't like it, YOU go away.
